The Community School was started in 1982 with little more than scrap paper, pencils and the determination of neighborhood residents to raise the education level in a community that had one of the highest dropout rates in Baltimore.
From those simple beginnings, the school has educated generations of young people from the Remington community and throughout the city. It is now a state recognized, independent, academic and mentoring high school.
Though it still operates in a corner storefront in Remington without any government funds, the determined students thrive because of the support of many people like you.
Our volunteers and supporters have allowed us to assure that our students receive a first rate education in a place where they can grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
We need you to keep this going. If you've given before, please consider giving again and either increasing your donation or setting up a recurring contribution. If this is your first time, check out our website at www.tcshighschool.org, and learn about our hardworking, determined students and the opportunities the school provides them for a brighter future.
